Analyze a Table

Used to compute quantities from a table. For example a function fit or statistical information.

Fits

For example create a test function and perturb it with a normal noise. Then create the standard fit and select a quadratic fit from the menu.

You can add other function fits, for example the arbitrary fit. Since in general the arbitrary fit can have more than one local minima and uses an iterative method you need to specify the initial guess. This functionality mimics what DataGraph does in the Fit drawing command.

Find

The find option searches for the x value that has a given y value. It uses linear interpolation to get the x location.
