Statistics from Image
Updated
You can compute overall statistics for an array. The selected quantities are returned for each channel in a group.
The median can be relatively expensive, since the values have to be sorted.
The norms give three standard norms. The infinity norm is just the largest value in absolute value. The one norm is the sum of the absolute values divided by the number of grid points. This is therefore the average of the absolute values of all of the points. The two norm is computed by first summing up the squares of all of the values and dividing but the number of grid points. This is the average value of the squares of the values. The two norm is then the square root of that value.
