How to draw a Plot graph with Text Column X-axis?

Hi,

When I used the Plot command to draw a x-y plot graph, the data source for the X/Y axis must be a number or a date; text is not allowed (shown in red). But sometimes we do have this need (as shown in the picture), is there a solution for this?

Once you add the Plot Command, you can modify the Axis Settings to assign the X Tick Marks – in your case you want them to be labels from the column that contains the text of the gene names.

See screenshot – you can assign the Label tick mark (1), the column containing the numerical values on the X axis specifying the location at which the labels should appear (2), and the column containing the label text (3).

@liu change – See the Tick Marks section of  the Axis settings documentation to learn more about these options.

Note that some commands, like the Bars and Box, can use text categories as the axis labels natively, without having to set the Axis settings.

Thank you for your answer. The question is done! Your software is a bit like a complex SLR camera. It has great functions, but at the same time, the learning cost is also relatively high. I really like this super awesome drawing software!
