Saying I have 20 columns, how can I add some new columns titled with average, sd, sem, etc.?

For that many columns, we recommend flattening the data. Then use the Pivot command to perform the calculations and extract out what you need.

Here is a demo for flattening the data:

          Dear dgteam,

Sorry to interrupt, how can I revert the dataset after it’s been flattened? I could not find a way to do so. Do I have to duplicate the data to preserve the original dataset (before data flattening)?

          Thanks!

You do not have to duplicate the data, unless you want to keep it for comparison.

What you can do is create a data – pipeline, to go from flattened data in the data table -> Pivot command  for perform calculations-> extract from the Pivot command back to the data table.

To extract from the Pivot command, click the gear menu on the Pivot command (top right corner)  and you have options for extracting columns that are pivoted or flattened.

If you need a more concrete example, let us know!
