I want the graph to end up looking like the one below, a plot of means with SEM.  I have managed to recreate one of those lines, but I cannot figure out to plot others on the same graph.  No matter how I group or flatten the data I can’t get it to work.  Sample xy plot

Here is a screen shot using three Plot commands.

        Lines with Error Bars

This is using a Flattened or Long data format.

For each command add a Mask.  The Mask allows you to filter the data based on a logical criteria.  For the legend, you can also customize that for each.

        Lines with Error Bars2

We just uploaded a file with this example to the On-line examples in the program. It also compares two other ways to draw a similar graph.

        Does that help?

FYI — If you are new to the program, I would also recommend watching some of our videos on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/datagraph/

Here is a playlist we have started to help explain the ins and outs  …

I got the plot I wanted by creating each of 4 lines in separate files, then copying and pasting the means and SEMs into a 5th file.  I haven’t yet been able to replicate these results any other way.

Glad you were able to create  the plot — but you should be able to do this all in one file.  One benefit of DataGraph is setting up a flow of data, such that when your raw data changes, all your graphs will update.

Maybe you could send a screen shot of your raw data or email us a file from the Help menu in the program with your raw data — or a some data you make up in a similar format.
