Hello, I am just starting to use DG – waiting for the online webinar, but as that is more than a week away, also going to post some q’s here. If they are too basic/already been answered a thousand times, please just point me to the best place to go read up on things.

Anyway, first question: how do I specify the graph size so that it is the plotted graph (i.e. not the graph + labels + text) which is a specific size in cm? and 2. how do I set the minimum and maximum values on an axis?

      thank you

Welcome to the forum and ask away!

The controls for the x-y range are in the Axis settings.

There are three ways to control the range: using include, padding, and restrict.

For a demo of each see:  How to change the axis range

        Does this help?

Yes, thanks – the info is still not completely explanatory, but I now see I need to set BOTH the “include” and “restrict” tabs in order to get it exact – many thanks.

What about the other bit of the question – i.e. graph size? If I want to create a symmetrical scatterplot, with both axes the exact same length, how do I do it? I have found the option to set “size” as specified, but, if I set x=y here, it does not give me a square graph …

It seems the video is not available. Can you fix that? Thanks.

Ok – Good!  Sorry that our YouTube channel now has ads.  We no longer have the ability to have an ad free channel per the latest YouTube agreement 🙁

The second video seems to have a problem.
