I’ve had this issue pop up a few times recently, in which blank cells are interpreted as zeros by points commands. Here’s some potentially useful information:

      1. In the most recent instance, it occurred when I sorted my data based one of the columns containing data drawn in the active graph.
      2. It seems to be linked to whether there are masks in the points command: if I delete the masks in an affected points command, everything is drawn normally. The downside is that it kind of defeats the purpose of the mask.
      3. If I add a mask telling DG not to draw points if whatever affected variable = 0, everything is drawn normally.
      4. If I close the affected file and open it again, everything is back to normal so I guess it’s more of a quirky pain in the butt than a serious issue.
      5. I can’t force it to happen in a new file with a fake dataset, or in the affected file once I close and re-open it.

It sounds like you have found a refresh bug. We did some testing but could not replicate it. If you have not yet, please test your file using the latest beta version, our candidate for our next version (5.2), which will be out in early September. The bug may have already been fixed or is a combination we have not tried.

If you have the same problem, send a screenshot showing what is not updating correctly.  Or even better, email us the file to “help at visualdatatools.com.”

        Thanks for your help.
