I am quite new to DataGraph so this may be a stupid question; is there a way to simulate a stream graph?  I have experimented with stacked line plots and bars a bit but don’t see how these might create a stream graph of sorts.

Not a stupid question at all!  There are many graph types that we may not have a built-in command, but you can use the existing commands, along with some calculations to built a template.  For this graph type, we don’t have a built-in command, but we added a template to illustrate how you could build this for a simple example.

The example file compares the same data using a standard area graph using a Bars command, offset bars using Bar commands, and smooth lines using Plot commands.

See File > On-line examples, and this will be the most recent file uploaded.

Pretty slick solution. Not too bad to set up for a few parameters but (IMHO) a bit clunky to do for many columns?  I’ve got a chart with 15 parameters and find it a bit too fiddly to create if I had to do this often. I do appreciate the ability to customize how ones graph works though.

I keep thinking that some sort of macro facility that creates all the functions/columns needed for specialty graphs like this would be rather handy. Any chance that something like that might be in the hopper?
