I think it would be useful to create a variation of the plots command that draws a separate line for each row, rather than for each column. In my field, it’s common to make graphs like this:

      te example

Normally, my data tables are set up so that every row is a separate rock sample, and this works for everything else I do in DG. But to make this graph, where each line represents geochemical data for a single rock, I had to transpose the data. This seems to make it impossible or at least very inefficient to use masks or set up color or marker schemes that are based on some other parameter that would typically be stored in a column–for example, if I want the line/marker colors to correlate to the silica concentration of each rock. Maybe this isn’t such a big deal with just a few samples, but graphs like this can sometimes show data for dozens of samples.
