Here is a graph that uses animation to relate several measurements spatially. I have used this to great effect and thought it may be useful for others. To protect any proprietary information, all data in this plot is synthetic. I thought that the concept may be useful for others.  The animation is low quality due to size limits and the conversion to gif. The original was very high quality and well received. I also will include some stills to illustrate the original quality.Spatial-animation3

Nice try! How did you make it?

So I took the measurements and then interpolated between the measurements (every 5 seconds) so I had a value for every second. I setup the time variable for animating using the integer checkbox. The bottom graph has a plot for each instrument that is masked by t as well as a vertical line set to = t. Additionally the background is range command set to fill with a gradient.

The top portion is an image I drew for the background. The circles that change color are points commands that uses a color ramp scheme with a mask set to equal the time variable. For the top view and side view, I split the y axis and used a single x axis. Of course the data for the color ramp matches the data used in the bottom plot commands. I can upload some screen shots of the DataGraph window if there is interest. Let me know!

The combination of the drawing and the data is very slick!

We will look at how to add a GIFs to the site.  As you found out, the current uploader limits us to individual images.  Posting the video on YouTube was very helpful.

One other detail I forgot to mention: the text labels for door and vent open or closed are animated by setting up a variable for the time at which we opened a vent or the doors to the apparatus. Then I used an expression variable that encodes a conditional that returns either 1 or 2 depending on if t is < or > the opened variable. The 1 or 2 returned changes the text returned of a third variable, a text variable, by changing the row returned of a column with two text values, either opened or closed. Attached is a screen shot of the variables used.

And here is the corresponding still image of the animation:
