      Hello,

      A warning and a question:

My computer (MacOS) is set for the region “France”. Since the last update of the OS (-> Ventura), I noticed that there were commas as decimal separators in variables calculated by DataGraph, whereas I had entered data with dots, and worked with them before the OS update. It is no longuer possible with Ventura to change what the OS uses when the region is set to “France”…!?!!!! I hope this is going to be fixed, but in the meanwhile, the solutions are:

      – set the region to UK or USA and then you can change. May bring other problems ?

      – change the decimal separator for the OS using the terminal. The command line can be found on the net.

      – change the decimal separator for each software. It is possible for Excel, but I didn’t find it for DataGraph. Is it possible and how?

Thanks for reporting this.  We found an issue on the new OS that sounds like what you are experiencing. We have a version of DataGraph to fix this.

If you could download this version to test on your system that would be very helpful.  We are very close to releasing a new version (5.1). Here is a link to download our latest version:

Does this version show the same problem?

Sorry for the late response, I didn’t notice your message because I have troubles with the notification system.

I have the same problem with the new version. But actually it is not really a problem: some of the calculated values (for example the mean after boxplot command) are displayed with a comma but when I extract them they are copied with a dot and correctly interpreted. The problem is only when I copy a value (from the boxplot command table output with commas) and paste it as a value for a variable. I can easily convert the comma to a dot myself.

By the way, lately I experienced crashes with the previous version of Datagraph whereas I had not updated anything on my computer, to my knowledge. It seems better with this new beta version. I do not remember the number of the previous version I had. It would be convenient if the installation file (.dmg) name contained the number of the version (I keep the old versions’ installation files just in case). There is probably a good reason for it is not the case?
