Lasso data to make new dataset

It would be quite useful to be able to lasso a subset of data on an x-y plot and turn those points into a new dataset. This was a common part of my pre-DG workflow.

Bump.

This would be a wonderful feature if it’s feasible; I’ve long wished for this capability in my other programming environment (an open source solution). I know it’s been a feature of IDL/ENVI for the last 20 years.
