      Hi there, I have fairly simple data comprised of monthly values over several years. I want to plot the sums of the monthly values vs. the year. Via a Pivot table it is basically easy to generate the data, however, the sum of the months (columns) of each year (rows) ends up in a column behind a thick black line, without name and I was unable to use it / copy it back to the data section etc.

      Clear?

      How do I solve this?

        Not so clear… a screen copy would help. I understand you have one issue to visualise the result and another to extract the results.

        Assuming the data are flattened in a date format (if not, flatten the months columns) I suggest to proceed as shown in the picture below to solve both issues.
