How can I draw a 3D-metric graph?

      I am currently writing a paper, in which I need to draw Excitation- Emission metrics graphs (like the picture below), but I have no idea how can I achieve it. Information about the graph: x-excitation wavelength; y-emission wavelength; z-fluorescence intensity.

        This type of graph is drawn with a scalar field command.  We have several articles that should help:

        Scalar field basics – Walks through creating a basic graph and legend.  This is where I would start.

        Scalar field command – More detailed documentation showing more options for input data format, etc.

        Scalar field examples – Example files you can download from here.

        The command has several options for input data format, so feel free to send a screen shot of you data, if you are not sure how to create the graph with your format.
