I’m an occasional lurker here and only post if I’ve had issues but have to say that Datagraph is always commented on by my non-mac colleagues as a wonderful piece of software!

      Anyway, to my question(s):

      1. Is there (or would it be possible to implement) a way to export the data from a graph that has been created? I’ve had people ask for the “raw” data from some plots so they can plot themselves 🤷🏻‍♂️ or fiddle with as they see fit. Some of my plots will have fits, masks etc… and it would be great to save this data straight to a file without having to manually copy to excel, paste and edit.

      2. When exporting the data, can you save the group names in the data file? For example I might have 3 groups of data and in each group 4 columns of data labelled say “time”, “temperature”, “voltage”, “current”. When I export to a CSV I get only the column names and no reference to the group name.

      Thanks in advance!

I also have to export data for others, and I have found the notes to be extremely valuable in the data table. This does get exported, and you can give detailed comments on how you calculate each column.

I would also like to export the group names, but I think that would difficult in a csv format… I can’t think of a good solution there to suggest… and I do think the export should work the same between csv and excel if possible.

I wouldn’t have thought it be too difficult e.g. two nested group example

          -Group1
          —-data_x
          —-data_y
          —-Group2
          ——–data_x2
          ——–data_y2
          -data_x3 (no group)
          -data_y3 (no group)

The CSV file could be something like this

          Group1, Group1, Group1, Group1, <blank> ,<blank>
          <blank>,<blank>, Group2, Group2, <blank>,<blank>
          data_x, data_y, data_x2, data_y2, data_x3, data_x3

Immediately you can see that data_x&y belong to Group1, data_x2&y2 to Group2 and Group1 and data_x3&y3 to neither.
