      Hi,

I’ve looked in the forums and the manual and haven’t found what I’m after — is there a way to make a scatter plot and show error in the form of x, y, covariance?  I’ve seen an error ellipse in the manual but it seems to only be based on error in x, y alone (so the ellipse is orthogonal to x and y, not at any other angle). I’ve attached an example plot. (And then also taking the covariance into account during fitting would be important, too.)

      Thanks!

The ellipses in the Points or Plot command don’t handle this case.  We are interested in adding something like this. Likely this would be in form of a covariance command.  It would be useful to know more about the underlying data format. If you could email us some sample data that would be helpful.  You can get our help email from the help menu within DataGraph.

That would be great — I’ll send a file shortly.  Thanks!

Just curious to know if this feature may be implemented in a future update?  Thx.
