A few years ago, I could fit data using the commands abs, tanh and sinh and cosh.

Then, the  DataGraph program crashed when I use one of these programs. The last crash was the worse. I described it in a previous post. This was the worse.

I forgot to mention the problem with abs() in my previous program. So I will repeat.

I was working on a data file entitled:

      timeRedux’10September2023.dgraph.

It was working fine at first. No problems.I had four plots in this file.

However, then I inserted an absolute value command, abs(), into a fitting program.

The program tanked. While I could still run commands, I couldn’t call up a file.

I also use PlotDigitizer. Are there any conflicts between PlotDigitizer and DataGraph?

Maybe the abs() in DataGraph stopped working because of a conflict with another program that I had downloaded.

We generated a data set to test the fitting with sinh(x) and did not have any problem.

If you can email us the file that is crashing, we can take a closer look to see what the conflict could be.  You could send to “help at visualdatatools.com”
