Show/hide multiple columns at once

Does Datagraph allow you to show or hide multiple columns simultaneously, without putting them in their own group? I can click+drag to select as many as I want, but can’t seem to do anything other than cut/copy/paste or delete with the ones I’ve selected. Grouping would allow me to show or hide them with a single click, but at some point it becomes a hassle to have too many groups and subgroups.

I have not found a way to do this. I end up creating more groups than I would like in order to handle the need to simultaneously show and hide multiple columns in the data table, which is not ideal.

I affirm that this is problem. It would be great if you could hide/unhide the selected columns at once.

FYI – The current beta (and next version of DG) have a new option for hiding multiple columns at once.  Highlight the columns, click the gear menu in the top left corner of the data table, and use ‘Hide Selected Columns’.

We are also thinking about adding a right-click on an individual column in the data table to hide. Then you don’t need to open the data definitions to hide data, but you would need to open to unhide.

This is a great step in the right direction. For my work flow, I would like to highlight multiple columns in the definitions table and the right click to show or hide the multiple columns. Thanks for the updates! I will check out the latest beta!

Thanks for the feedback!  We don’t have the right click action, but you can use the same gear menu after selecting from the column list.  This will also work for groups.

You can also use the menu bar under Data > Hide Selected Columns.

Thanks for the responsiveness! I agree with the other user that a right-click or maybe a toggle on/off button would be more efficient, but for me that would only be a minor improvement. This is great!
