Yes – they are both one time purchases. Here are a some of things to consider:
1 – If you might be interested in additional licenses or setting up a research group, buying direct from Visual Data Tools would be the way to go.
2 – If you would be interested in running DataGraph from the command line, this can be tricky in the Apple version as it is sandboxed. You might want to purchase from us direct.
3 – If you would like to use our beta version with the latest additions and bug fixes, you can do this easier by purchasing direct from our store. If you purchase from Apple, you have to register your copy with us, which is an extra step, as we do not get any user data from Apple.
Otherwise the App store has the same functionality as the version you get direct from our store. We know some users really like the mac App store, while others prefer to purchase direct. We appreciate your purchase either way!
