Import of a csv file performance

When I import a csv file with 25 columns and 15.000 rows the import is fast.

When I import the same csv file after transposing it (externally), the import

of the csv file with 15.000 Columns and 25 rows is very, very slow and is trying over several hours.

Any idea?
