      All –

Most people use another application to analyze some behavior of satellites but it has a number of areas where it is very labor intensive. After a lot of looking I found DataGraph which allows me to do a better job and with a lot less effort.

Here is a graph of satellite behavior – the goal is to see if satellites are given the correct identification or not. My contention is that objects from the same launch should have the same slope of the line – if you see an object with a different slope it might be from a different launch.

By the way the angle RAAN goes from zero to 360 or course, and restarts at zero. It is an angle that shows the “position” around the Earth.

I would be happy to hear suggestions about how to make these graphs more usable – but even like this you can see that object number 33058 stands out from the others.

        Charles,

Have you had any luck fitting these curves with a linear regression?  The slope would seem to be an interesting parameter to display, but yes you can visually see that 33508 appears to be a pretty clear outlier.

          Pamela –

That is a goal but getting the information to put into the graphs has been a labor and time intensive process, so I have been working on automating that. Once I have a good selection of interesting cases I am going to try to start collecting and comparing the slopes of the lines.
