Thanks for reporting the problem and the fix! That file is likely the location the system stores what files to relaunch on open.
Also, we are always interested in knowing what data may have caused the problem. If you can provide details or email a copy to our help email we can diagnose what caused the issue. If the data is quite large, you may want to try the Import Special method, which is threaded and very efficient at importing large datasets.
